Thanks to Aaron L. at Santa Monica Seafood in Costa Mesa for the great suggestion to use Fanny Bay Oysters as an appetizer in our blog. All you will need are some Fanny Bay Oysters,which come from Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. They are a great size, nice and meaty, great looking, and tasty too! First rinse them off under cold water then fire up your grill, get it nice and hot, place the oysters flat side up and let them cook 3-4 minutes. They will pop open when they are ready. Use tongs to grab them, and place them in a folded dish towel (to hold them), then use a butter knife to slice them from the shell, and pry the top over. Quick and easy! Once plated, use about a half teaspoon of our spicy yakitori sauce on each. So quick, easy, and great tasting! Something you could easily do as your guests hang out by the grill with you. Enjoy!
